Ring Out The Old

Yeah, we’ve been slack about writing, but it’s only because things have been active around here. As we wrote (checks the date) a month and a half ago, Kate-A-Roo’s walking like there’s no tomorrow now. She just trots around everywhere. Today, I saw her turning sideways and side-stepping to get through a narrow opening. It’s all old-hat to her now.

On the other hand, I’ll be glad when Kate can learn to communicate better, because everything now is greeted by an ear-splitting scream. The ride back from Virginia on Christmas Eve was hellish - she screamed the entire way. Sometimes, she’s not even mad, she just lets loose with a 200-decibel blast because she can.

Hayley continues to do well in school - she’s at the point where she can read and sound out simple words, knows all her letters (by and large), and can even do some simple math. The education she’s getting at Children’s House of Raleigh is well worth the tuition money.

Hayley’s also looking forward to her birthday in late January, where she’ll be the big five. Plans now are for a “Scooby Doo” themed birthday at a local tumble gym in Wake Forest.

As is becoming tradition, I’ve put up the “Best of 2007″ photo albums for the girls on Flickr. It’s 50-some of my favorite pictures of the girls over the past year. Some good stuff in there.

**Best of Hayley**

**Best of Kate**

Here’s to an eventful 2007, and hopefully a great 2008 with our girls!
