First sentence
Kate said her first “real” sentence yesterday. She was sitting in her high chair and when she finished eating, she said, quite loudly, “Let me out!”
She has been saying lots of two-word and a few three-word combinations for the past month, but never a complete sentence.
She also did her first finger painting yesterday. I let the girls get on the kitchen floor and have a little messy craft time. Kate seemed hesitant to dip her fingers in the paint at first, but she warmed up to it after a few minutes. Even after she got going, though, she didn’t want to get TOO messy. If she accidentally got some paint on her leg, she wanted me to wipe it off right away. I was trying to help her learn colors. I think she pretty much has blue, yellow, and green down, but we’re still working on red, orange, and purple. She can say all the words, but she doesn’t really know the colors yet. All in good time, I suppose.

Nathan puts his arms up and says, “ALL DONE!” Kyle swore he said “touchdown” the other day with his arms like that. I think not.
No sentences here–and no colors either!
Letters and shapes–those we have.
Hope you’re all ready to go! The big move is coming fast!
