I’ve packaged up the three new Typo sidebars I wrote up, and they’re available for download. You should just be able to unzip the archive in your components/plugins/sidebars/ directory, then enable them in your admin section.

The plugins are:

Let me know if you find any bugs, or if you decide that you like them! I’ve got them running on this blog, using the latest SVN HEAD of Typo, but that’s really all the testing I’ve done. Patches to improve the code are alos welcome.

Was there a new NHL player’s strike today that only Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey knows about?

The Mean Streets Of Carrboro

Holy hell.

That’s not supposed to happen around here. I may have to park in a different place when I go to DSI, since that’s right where I usually park. It is a pretty sketchy area, with a dark parking lot, train tracks, and plenty of vagrants wandering around.

Sheesh.

An Intelligent Judgement

Score one for sanity.

Of course, the score is currently Insanity 75, Sanity 3 in the 2nd period, but every little bit helps.

Monster Style

I managed to weasel my way into an on-stage performance (vs. my normal role up in the booth) tonight at ComedySportz. The reason I was so keen to come down from my perch is that the open spot in the show was on a team with Ross and Moser. Two of my favorite people in the world to get on stage with? Count me in.

And we rocked the show. It was tons of fun, helped by the great performances of Messrs. Quinn, Bly, and Brown on the home team, Ted Hobgood rocking it out in the booth, and The Warden in the stripes. A large company party from RTI was there, so the crowd was into it as well. So I think we all stepped up and delivered a fun show.

While I enjoy the mix-it-up dynamic of a ComedySportz show, where different people play together all the time, there’s something to be said for working in a team where you’ve been performing together for years and everyone’s tight. And that’s what it was tonight- stepping back into that anything-can-happen dynamic and seeing where the show would take us.

I’m hoping now that there are signs of dentente coming out of ComedyWorx that it’ll be possible to get JMatt and The Wizard in for a Destroy All Monsters show somtime (hopefully early) in 2006. Hell, maybe even a split weekend with one show in Chapel Hill and one in Raleigh.

I miss the hell out of some Monsters.

But Clinton…

In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news, jwz gives you the lowdown on what you’re missing with Today In Treason, in which our President ignores the Constitution and spies on his own citizens, with the comeback of “But if we don’t, the terrorist will win!”

Just in case you didn’t get that the first time, our President, the supposed standard-bearer of conservative, strict-constructionalist Republican values is ordering the NSA to spy on American citizens in violation of the law and says he’ll keep doing it, neener neener.

The sound of crickets you’re hearing is coming from over here. How about it, Republicans? Still think this guy’s a good idea? Would you still be giving this a pass if he had a (D) next to his name?

Wow. Jason Matthews’ Ticketmaster-Fu is strong. Looks like I need to come up with a good sign idea by mid-January.
